Each strand has a small shaped tip made of keratin protein bond that holds all the individual hairs together. To apply the extension, the tip is heated and then bonded to the clients natural hair  When it cools, the keratin hardens creating a sealed durable bond.

Keratin tips are also great as a hybrid method when used together with  wefts to fill in smaller sections, such as the front hairline and nape
